2026.03.02 Keio University Students Visit NYCU：Discussing the Future of Japan through Taiwan’s Semiconductor Ecosystem

 

  On March 2nd, a group of faculty members and second- and third-year undergraduate students from Keio University’s Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Applied Physics and Physico-Informatics, visited NYCU. I was able to spend two hours discussing with them, including questions and answers, “Taiwan’s amazingness and its university-centered semiconductor ecosystem.” I learned that they are the next generation after Japan’s relaxed education generation, and that they feel a strong sense of crisis. I was deeply moved by the opportunity to discuss about the greatness of Taiwan High-tech with them, and to discuss about the broad theme of how we can make it a reality in Japan.

2026.03.02【慶應義塾大学生 NYCU訪問】台湾の半導体エコシステムから日本の未来を語り合う

 

    3月2日、慶応義塾大学理工学部物理情報工学科の教員と学部2・3年生の一行がNYCUを訪問しました。私達は彼らと約2時間にわたり、質疑応答を交えながら「台湾の素晴らしさと大学を中心とした半導体エコシステム」について議論することができました。彼らは日本のゆとり教育世代の次の世代であり、強い危機感を抱いていることが分かりました。彼らと台湾ハイテクの素晴らしさを語り合い、それを日本でどのように実現していくかという大きなテーマについて議論できたことに、深く感銘を受けました。
